Capital Art Center Leads Taiwanese Artists to 2025 BAMA Busan International Art Fair

Capital Art Center will lead a group of Taiwanese artists to participate in the 2025 BAMA Busan International Art Fair, held from April 3 to April 6, 2025, in Busan, South Korea. This participation not only continues the Taiwan-Korea art connection established at the 2024 PLAS Seoul and BAMA Busan Art Fairs, but also aims to further promote contemporary Taiwanese art in the East Asian market.

Organized by the Busan Gallery Association, BAMA is one of the largest art fairs in South Korea. Since its inception in 2012, it has actively connected local and international artists and galleries. For this exhibition, Capital Art Center will collaborate with four outstanding Taiwanese artists—LI Ping-Yi, YU Ya-Lan, YANG Tzu-Yi, and LEE Chi-Hsun—to showcase artworks that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

LI Ping-Yi uses woodcut prints to depict Taiwan's coastal and mountain landscapes, reminding viewers of the importance of environmental conservation. YU Ya-Lan explores the relationship between light and landscapes through printmaking techniques, presenting the delicate connections between humanity and the universe. Yang Tzu-Yi utilizes ink painting to examine the interplay between tradition, nature, and spirituality, offering a contemporary perspective on classical Chinese art. LEE Chi-Hsun creates wood sculptures that blend the female form with symbolic elements, addressing gender equality and societal perceptions.

By participating in international art fairs, Capital Art Center continues to promote Taiwanese artists, expanding their presence in the global art market and fostering academic exchanges. The 2025 BAMA exhibition not only provides a broader platform for contemporary Taiwanese art but also raises awareness of environmental and social issues, contributing to a sustainable future through art.
